    Deadline for entry is Wednesday, June 12, 2013. Decision will be made no later than June 13th and contestants will be notified no later than June 14th for the Texaco Showdown on June 29th.

    CONTEST ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

    (a) The act is composed of no more than seven individuals.

    (b) The act has not performed on a record charting in the Top 100 country format of Billboard, Radio and Records or in the Gavin Report within eighteen months preceding local competition.

    (c) Each act has paid the $20.00 registration fee before performing live at the local competition (preliminary or one-time show).

    (d) No member of the act was part of the back-up band for monetary compensation within the past year.

    (e) No member of the act is an owner, controlling stockholder or employee (or a family member of any of the above) of the radio station sponsoring the local Country Showdown contest, Texaco, (or any national sponsor,) or SPI.

    (f) No member of the act is related by birth, marriage, or has any on-going business relationship with any Country Showdown judge.

    (g) Performers of any age may enter the local Texaco Country Showdown contest. However, if the contest is to be held at a location where alcoholic beverages are served (such as a local nightclub), then the eligibility to enter may be restricted by the radio station to those who would be considered adults by the law of its state. Any contestant under 18 years of age must submit an entry form signed by the contestant’s parent or legal guardian.

    (h) Act has not been declared a local winner of a 2013 Texaco Country Showdown and is not already eligible for state competition. (Contestants may re-enter the contest at the local level in another state only after being eliminated at a state or regional competition. They must complete a new Entry Form and pay another entry fee).

    (i) The act, either as an individual or as a part of a group, has not been a National Winner of the 2010, 2011, or 2012 Country Showdown.
